Enjoy nature in this luxury lakefront modern guest house in the treetops with fantastic views of Lake Sam Rayburn and the Angelina National Forest. You will have the entire private living space, including your own living room, bedroom, kitchen, full bathroom and 4 decks. Be sure to take a swim in the lake from the sandy beach.
Bring your boat: this property is 15 minutes from Umphrey Pavilion and only 1 mile from Sandy Creek Boat Ramp. You are welcome to fish anywhere on the property.
The space
If you are looking for a place to get away from civilization and relax this is the place for you. You will have your own house designed by a leading architect and interior designer with full privacy. Your 1,425 square foot space is filled with beautiful original artwork, upscale finishings, and numerous windows, where the views from every angle are stupendous. Plus you have over 650 square feet of private decks to relax on and enjoy nature!
In the morning, have a cup of coffee and watch the sun rise over the lake on the deck off the master bedroom. In the evening, relax on the “sunset deck,” as the sky blazes orange as it sets over the lake. Have a glass of your favorite beverage on the third floor deck where you can watch the birds and squirrels at eye level in the treetops. Don’t forget to walk along the sandy beach and take a dip in the lake.
The property is located next to the owner’s house on a secluded point of two acres bordering the Angelina National Forest and Lake Sam Rayburn. This is a unique property, where there is not another house in sight. If you are a stargazer, you will be well rewarded with a 270º view of the sky with virtually no light pollution!
There is a large driveway with enough room to accommodate boat parking.
Guest access
Guests will enjoy a private space in their modern abode and are welcome to roam the property as they desire. The beach is just a few steps away.
Other things to note
This is a one-of-a-kind property located on a secluded point on Lake Sam Rayburn, adjacent to the Angelina National Forest. Naturalists will be thrilled to observe the flora and fauna of the forest and the lake, including eagles, woodpeckers, heron, loons, hummingbirds, turkey, deer and foxes. Eagles nest on the point across the cove and it is a delight to watch them soar and fish.
Due to the remote location, internet and TV options are poor. Because of the tree cover, I cannot offer satellite TV or internet, so we must use cellular, which can be spotty. There is wifi in the guest house, but it is tied to the less-than-optimal internet. The TV will stream whenever the internet is working well.
